Mather Commerce Park
At the time of original construction, the Fulcrum / McCuen Properties team were selected by the California State Department of General Services to build the EDFUND headquarters facility at Mather Field. At the time, EDFUND was one of the nation’s leading providers of student loan services, administering a loan portfolio worth more than $27 billion. The Fulcrum / McCuen Properties team was selected based on its proven credentials in developing and managing projects for government tenants. The result was the construction of two buildings, totaling 185,000 square feet, built around a central plaza.
In November 2010, the U.S. Department of Education reclaimed EDFUND’s student loan portfolio for management at the Federal level and EDFUND was dissolved. In 2011, the Mather Commerce Park was successfully re-tenanted.
